Bihar CM Samrat Choudhary reviews arrangements for Shravani Mela via video conference

Patna (Bihar) [India], August 23 (ANI): Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Sunday participated in an event organised in Bhagalpur through video conferencing and reviewed arrangements related to the Shravani Mela.
Choudhary said the Shravani Mela involves a journey of approximately 100 kilometres spanning Bhagalpur, Munger and Banka, with people across the region connected to the event.
The Chief Minister commended the residents of Bhagalpur, Banka and Munger for their continued support and for warmly welcoming pilgrims and extending a gracious reception to them.
"The Shravani Mela involves a journey of approximately 100 kilometres spanning Bhagalpur, Munger, and Banka; every person in that region connects with this event... I commend all the residents of this region--whether from Bhagalpur, Banka, or Munger--for their ongoing support...," he said.
Choudhary directed that arrangements for various projects and healthcare facilities be maintained and said immediate measures should be taken to address any water scarcity issues that may arise.
He further said, "Arrangements for various projects and healthcare facilities must be maintained, and immediate measures should be taken to resolve any water scarcity issues that may arise."
A laser show was scheduled to be held on Sunday. Choudhary said he had intended to attend the event but could not travel to Bhagalpur due to several scheduled programmes in Patna.
"I apologise for not being able to make it. There were several scheduled programmes in Patna that made it impossible for me to be with you today," he said.
The Chief Minister said the state government had organised the event for devotees and people of the region to ensure that the Shravani Mela continued to be held seamlessly.
Meanwhile, Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary on Sunday announced that a Maati Kala Board (Terracotta Art Board) would be constituted within the next three months to preserve and promote the traditional art form and work for the welfare of the Kumhar (Prajapati) community.
Choudhary made the announcement while addressing a programme organised by the Bihar Kumhar (Prajapati) Samanvay Samiti at Shri Krishna Memorial Hall in Patna to mark the death anniversary of Amar Shaheed Ramchandra Vidyarthi and felicitate newly elected members of the Bihar Legislative Council.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the programme by lighting a ceremonial lamp and paying a floral tribute to Ramchandra Vidyarthi. (ANI)
