Welcoming the envoys to their postings, President Murmu expressed confidence that their tenure in New Delhi would further deepen bilateral ties, enhance trade and cultural exchanges, and strengthen mutual cooperation between India and their respective nations.
Notably, Jasper Wieck officially assumed office as the German Ambassador-Designate to India and Bhutan in August 2026.
He succeeds Philipp Ackermann, who headed the German mission in New Delhi from 2022 until August 2026 before taking up his new assignment in Beijing.

Ambassador Inga Ionesii was appointed by the Moldovan government in mid-2026 and formally presented credentials in August 2026.
