Rajasthan: Ayurveda PG Entrance Exam cancelled at Jaipur center following major technical glitch

Rajasthan: Ayurveda PG Entrance Exam cancelled at Jaipur center following major technical glitch

Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], August 22 (ANI): High drama unfolded at Satya Sai PG Girls College in Jaipur after the first shift of the All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) 2026 was cancelled due to a technical breakdown, triggering heavy protests by student candidates and their families outside the centre.
The national-level entrance exam was scheduled to run from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. However, a major technical fault cropped up within the first 15 minutes of the test, forcing candidates to sit idle for nearly an hour and a half as system administrators attempted to resolve the issue.
As the delay dragged on inside the examination halls, several female candidates reportedly felt unwell due to anxiety and panic, further aggravating the situation on campus.
The prolonged disruption prompted angry candidates and parents to assemble outside the building and protest against the administration, raising slogans demanding immediate clarity and intervention.
Reacting to the escalating agitation, Jaipur Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Narendra Kumar arrived at the college premises to assess the situation and engaged directly with the protesting students and their guardians to restore calm.
Following an assessment by the authorities, College Observer Harshita Sharma officially announced the cancellation of the first shift and confirmed that a fresh examination would be organised for the affected candidates.
Local police and administrative officials remained deployed at the venue to ensure order as candidates demanded a thorough investigation into the management lapse.
Following the sudden cancellation of the Ayurveda PG Entrance Examination at Satya Sai PG Girls College due to a major technical failure, frustrated candidates and their families voiced strong outrage over the administrative lapse, describing the experience as mentally draining and a waste of their hard work.
Students recounted the chaos inside the examination halls, stating that the systems froze shortly after the exam commenced, leaving them in limbo for over an hour.
"We have been preparing for this exam for months, putting in endless hours of study. Just 15 minutes after the exam started, the systems hung. We kept waiting, hoping it would restart, but nothing happened for nearly an hour and a half. The anxiety and stress inside the hall were unbearable," said one of the appearing candidates.
Another student highlighted the physical and emotional distress caused by the prolonged delay inside the centre.
"The lack of communication from the centre staff made things worse. Many students started panicking, and some even felt unwell because of the suffocation and stress. Calling off a national-level entrance exam like this at the last minute shows complete negligence on the part of the organisers," she added.
Parents who had accompanied their children to the venue also expressed deep disappointment over the mismanagement, pointing out the financial and logistical burden placed on outstation candidates. (ANI)
