TVS Supply Chain Solutions and Japan's Sankyu Inc sign strategic MoU for supply chain and engineering expansion

TVS Supply Chain Solutions and Japan's Sankyu Inc sign strategic MoU for supply chain and engineering expansion

New Delhi [India], August 24 (ANI): TVS Supply Chain Solutions and Japan's Sankyu Inc sign strategic MoU to unlock growth opportunities across Supply Chain and Engineering services. According to TVS Supply Chain Solutions Limited, the collaboration creates a platform to target key industrial sectors through integrated service offerings.
Under the framework of the agreement, Sankyu intends to acquire a 0.5 per cent equity stake in TVS Supply Chain Solutions, subject to customary regulatory approvals. The operational scope combines the Indian entity's supply chain infrastructure, market presence, and customer networks with Sankyu's engineering capabilities, logistics services, and existing ties across the Japanese industrial ecosystem.
Commenting on the agreement, R Dinesh, Chairman of TVS Supply Chain Solutions, said, "This partnership represents an important step in our strategy to strengthen our capabilities and create greater value for customers. Sankyu's engineering expertise and deep relationships across the Japanese industrial ecosystem complement TVS Supply Chain Solutions' integrated supply chain capabilities, strong customer relationships and market presence."
"We share a strong commitment to long-term value creation, and together we are well positioned to deliver more comprehensive solutions, support the evolving needs of manufacturing and industrial customers, and unlock new growth opportunities across India and other strategic markets," he added.
Both companies plan to deliver solutions covering warehousing, transportation, logistics, engineering services, on-site industrial support, and maintenance.
The initial phase of the partnership centres on India. With more than 1,400 Japanese firms operating across the country's manufacturing and industrial sectors, the alliance seeks to address their supply chain and engineering requirements while simultaneously expanding its domestic client base.
Over time, the scope will widen into overseas markets across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and other international territories where both companies maintain established footprints.
Kimihiro Nakamura, President and CEO of Sankyu Inc, said, "Since our inception in 1918, Sankyu has been dedicated to supporting the progress of the manufacturing sector, underpinned by our core philosophy of valuing our people. We are profoundly honoured to enter into this partnership with TVS SCS, an organisation that shares our philosophy and commitment to the highest ethical standards."
"Our two companies possess a strong strategic alignment, and by integrating and complementing our respective strengths, we look forward to achieving collective growth in the global market and contributing to sustainable industrial development," Nakamura added.
To oversee implementation, the organisations will form a joint steering committee with representatives from both sides. This committee will evaluate business opportunities, guide joint initiatives, and direct the rollout of integrated service solutions for industrial clients. (ANI)
